QUALITY CONTROL CLERK
GENERAL DETAILS
• Industry: Information and Document Management Services
• Location: 145 Industrial Parkway South
• Schedule: Monday to Friday.
• Shifts Available : 7:00am - 3:00pm amp; 2:45pm - 10:45pm
• Please note: Your half-hour lunch is unpaid.
• As you will be paid for your wages in full, income tax, CPP, EI will not be deducted from your wages. You will need to remit CPP and income tax deductions at the end of the year when you receive your T4A slip. As a sole proprietor, you may be eligible to register for EI.
• Overtime pay will apply on holidays and work hours after 44 hours per week (Monday-Sunday).
• eTempsNow will provide a weekly spreadsheet to track your hours; Nimble will provide a paper timesheet to track your hours. Payment is via cheque.
• Contract term: 6 months there is a high possibility of an extension or full-time employment offer
• Rate of pay: $15.00 per hour.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
• Keying alphanumeric information to create an information database. Source documents can be scanned images on a computer screen or paper documents. Reviewing scanned images for quality and be able to lift boxes of up to 50Lbs
Skills and Attributes
• Understanding of computers and MS Office software.
• Minimum typing speed of 50 words per minute and 7000 keystrokes per hour with high accuracy.
• Ability to stay focused in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Accurate follow-through on instructions.
• High standard of accuracy amp; attention to detail.
• Punctual and reliable.
Working Environment and Physical Demands Analysis
• Office environment
• Periods of high volume with tight timelines
• Periods of stationary sitting and looking at a computer screen.
