What’s the role?

We are looking for a dynamic Project Coordinator/Lead who will lead a team through virtual construction projects providing constructability, risk management and DfMA feedback to customers. The Project Coordinator/Lead will be responsible for promoting knowledge sharing internally and mentoring their team. Requirements

The Project Coordinator/Lead will be primarily responsible for:

  • Overseeing Virtual Construction to ensure project is virtually constructed in accordance with design (drawings and specifications).
  • Facilitating project meetings with multiple stakeholders, anticipating stakeholder needs, and proactively identifying solutions to support ongoing projects.
  • Leading, mentoring, coaching and interfacing with the internal team who are virtually constructing the project.
  • Sharing knowledge through one-on-one mentoring during the virtual construction process and leading formal and informal group technical knowledge-sharing sessions with the team.
  • Managing stakeholder and project procedures and standards on the project and to learning, interpreting and executing company workflows and policies as required.
  • Collaborating with teams and providing direction on project planning, scheduling, and engineering efforts.
  • Reviewing documents, project drawings, contracts, and specifications in detail and document or inform the appropriate team member about potential issues or conflicts.
  • Evaluating construction methods and commenting on possible cost savings measures and potential construction problems.
  • Assisting and leading onsite meetings with clients and trades.
  • Planning and managing daily operations and project schedules while monitoring progress.
  • Working alongside and regularly communicating with architects, contractors and engineers.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in construction industry (multifamily residential, concrete high-rises, wood frame mid-rise)
  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in construction management, engineering, or related field
  • Thorough knowledge of construction (means and methods including codes and specifications).
  • Experience in writing and acting on RFIs.
  • Strong project management, organizational, planning, problem solving, technical, communication and cross-organizational leadership skills.
  • Results-oriented, passionate about construction, able to develop and lead high performance teams.
  • Experience negotiating construction and procurement contracts.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results and to find opportunities for continuous improvement.
