Job Specific Details

• Site location: Nutrien Rocanville Potash Mine, Rocanville Saskatchewan
• 10/4 Shift - 10 hour days (6:30am 4:30pm)

• Provide craft management and technical direction on the construction project site.
• Enforce company and project policies and ensures project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
• As the overall site superintendent, tasks include being in charge of all on-site construction activities on a daily basis.
• Manage productivity issues with the Controller and Project Manager as well as monitor work performance and efficiency of employees and subcontractors to ensure project plans and schedule are followed and project is executed effectively and within budget.
• Contribute to the development of a construction plan and to manage subcontractor activities.
• Review and create workplans to ensure a set plan is being followed to perform the work safely and produce a quality product.
• Attend required construction meetings with owners, consultants and sub-contractors.
• Assure construction compliance with design requirements, project materials and workmanship meet the project Quality Standards
• Supervise and coordinate field cost controlling and construction activities.
• Assure compliance with project construction schedule budgets and assume responsibility for the commissioning of the project.
• Monitor the implementation of Radium’s Safety Program to create a safe work environment throughout the jobsite and monitor the safety and record keeping requirements with the Safety Lead.
• Advise senior management of potential problems, work interferences, or schedule difficulties while assisting in circumventing/resolving such conflicts. Also maintain the overall construction schedule and review with the client on a set basis as agreed to.
• Work with the Quality Manager / Coordinator on creating RFIs to streamline cost controlling issues.
• Follow Radium’s material management procedure to minimize double handling and avoid damage. Also plan and schedule the material deliveries from the shop to optimize schedule.
• Inform project manager amp; cost control on any delays.

Requirements

• Required tickets: Standard First Aid amp; Fall Protection
• Valid Class 5 Drivers License
• Ability to pass Damp;A test
• Demonstrated craft management experience
• Demonstrated experience running all site construction activities
