Goodfood is looking for a candidate with prior experience to join our growing Courier Operations team! WOW is our newly launched same day delivery service that offers members all of their amazing fresh, frozen and dry products when they want them.

Salary: 22.30/hour (tenure based increase)
Schedule: Sunday to Wednesday and Friday 3AM - 10AM
Under the direction of the Manager the Shift Coordinator is responsible for:
- Supporting daily tasks of operations by leading SOS (start of shift) huddles and assigning job duties to Courier operation associates and drivers
- Ensuring the team is being held accountable to safety, quality, and productivity performance standards
- Monitoring and communicating performance and quality metrics to Manager
- Investigating volume misses and communicate issues to Manager
- Communicating important information to peers and associates
- Supporting the onboarding and training of new hires
- Understanding and following all Standard Operating Procedures
- Set up sorting line, and execute standard sorting process of orders into corresponding delivery routes;
- Coordinate vehicle loading by ensuring couriers are loaded with the correct boxes in the correct order;
- Unloading Full pallets from transports to prepare for sort
- Scanning/Sorting boxes from full pallets into individual skids for each route;
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of experience required in same or similar field
- Must not have any active disciplinary action on file (e.g. for quality, productivity, safety, attendance)
- Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
- Physically fit and able to stand for long periods of time, operate machinery, and move and lift heavy items.
- Ability to work flexible schedules/shifts/areas
- Previous manufacturing or industrial work experience
- Ability to communicate, write and read in English
- The ability to repeatedly lift up to 35-50 pounds
- A willingness to work in a cold workplace (0 to +4 degrees Celsius)
- Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy
