We are seeking to add a Technician to our Maintenance Team. The successful candidate will be honest, hardworking, reliable, and responsible; have a positive attitude, be extremely resourceful, flexible, and able to adapt quickly as priorities change.

The successful candidate will also be someone who is efficient, takes pride in their work, is task driven, with the ability to complete tasks as directed and is open to taking on diverse projects and responsibilities as they arise. Some travel between facilities may be required. This is a full time position; generally Monday to Friday, however, flexibility with regard to hours worked is required.

Responsibilities:

• Look after the Daily Preventative maintenance program for BE
• General building, HVAC maintenance
• Painting, window cleaning, basic repairs
• Basic plumbing repairs and electrical maintenance
• Basic vehicle and equipment repair and maintenance

• Service all Office repairs and installs
• Chair all Monthly Maintenance meetings and sustain an environment of continuous improvement
• Fabricate units that are needed for the facility
• Assist in maintaining a clean, organized facility through diligent Lean housekeeping efforts
• Back up Shop when needed

• Warehouse related responsibilities when there are insufficient maintenance duties

Requirements

• Demonstrated maintenance skills with at least 2 years experience
• Basic painting, plumbing and electrical maintenance and repair skills and experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with small engines and/or vehicle repairs

• Ability to perform physical work and lift up to 50lbs

• Solid work ethic, and a positive attitude
• Strong communication skills
• Enjoy working in a team environment
• Basic computer skills an asset

Hours of Operation:

• Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm, with some occasional 6am starts or Saturdays may be required.
