What you will be doing

We are looking for an enthusiastic, strategic, and collaborative marketing expert to join our Content + Brand Marketing team as a Marketing Courses and Events Manager to produce memorable event experiences and scale our webinar and video programs.

The ideal candidate is tapped into what’s trending on social media, has strong connections in the social media and SaaS industry, and loves to build community by leading events online and in-person.

The Marketing Courses and Events Manager will report to the Senior Manager, Editorial and will work across the Content + Brand team to lead events (including LaterCon), webinars, and video courses, helping to build community and brand awareness, and driving lead generation to fuel Later’s customer growth.

Responsibilities:
  • Leads the development and deployment of industry-leading conversion-oriented video courses, webinars, and digital events, from ideation to execution, driving traffic, building audiences, and generating new leads
  • Works alongside the content marketing team to develop a cross-functional content and event strategy, using audience data and content focus to drive key themes
  • Manages a Content Marketing Specialist to create original video content and courses that drive traffic and generate leads as part of a holistic marketing strategy
  • Works closely with our Influencer + Communications team to build and deepen meaningful relationships with creators and industry experts, ensuring a consistently diverse and inclusive range of speakers and collaborators are featured
  • Works closely with the wider marketing team to execute campaigns for optimal event awareness, registration and engagement using channels such as social, email, earned and paid media, and other original tactics
  • Collaborates with Customer Success on alignment with education and product training courses, capitalizing on opportunities to support on shared goals
  • Confidence in hosting and moderating digital and possible future in-person events, driving engagement and participation
  • Uses business and departmental objectives as a foundation to drive strategy, measuring the impact of programs to meet business objectives, reporting on performance and pivoting tactics when necessary
  • Drives brand awareness, ensuring event positioning, messaging and assets are on-point and of the highest quality
  • Supports the development of key themes and editorial based on audience data and industry knowledge
  • Manages external partners and freelancers including cost negotiations, outreach, and logistics
  • Works with creative team to provide direction and approval on campaign and event assets
  • Researches and analyzes new technology, techniques, threats and industry best practices
You have:
  • 4+ years of experience in digital and in-person event marketing
  • Experience and confidence hosting events on-camera and in-person with social media creators and industry experts
  • Experience in video content creation (digital course creation is a huge asset)
  • Experience leading a team and building alignment to achieve goals
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to write scripts, outlines, and internal communications
  • Experience using marketing and events management technology and social media platforms
  • A creative, self-motivated mindset and a passion for innovation
  • Excellent project management ability and able to execute on time and within budget
  • A passion for organization and attention to detail, with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-moving industry
