Our Nanaimo location is looking to add a Detailer to the team!
JOB PURPOSE: Drafting amp; Project Managing of construction projects. Provide concise, accurate information for our customers on a daily basis.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrate conduct consistent with Nucor Harris Rebar’s vision and values.
- Draft and manage simple projects with little or no assistance
- Communicate with customers, and consultants on all questions relating to project; submit Requests for Information (RFI) as required.
- Work with customers to ensure all material is ordered and delivered to maintain construction schedules.
- Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports
- Review all claims of shortages or errors.
- Ensure proper coding of all material
- Follow one or more projects from estimate though drafting and fabrication to installation at the job site.
- Perform other duties as required by your supervisor.
Requirements
- Construction and concrete related construction knowledge and experience particularly helpful
- Basic knowledge of construction or civil technology
- Computing skills with experience in Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) and Microsoft Office
- Ability to read architectural/engineering drawings
- Ability to work as a team member on projects with an aptitude for problem solving
- Organized and detail oriented is a must
- Able to manage time effectively and prioritize responsibilities
- Effective verbal and communication skills
