Job Description

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

As a member of the Maintenance team, the Maintenance Planner reports to the Maintenance Manager. The Maintenance Planner is responsible for working within the maintenance team and liaising with all other departments to achieve the duties listed below.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Defines, develops and maintains processes which govern how maintenance performs work.
  • Monitors and reports the department’s adherence to defined processes.
  • Creates daily schedules of work requirements.
  • Updates daily schedules to reflect current schedule status.
  • Manages and enhances current PM program with the participation of all equipment stakeholders.
  • Assures current PM program is executed to defined schedule and balanced to manpower availability.
  • Optimizes efficiency with the prime goal of reducing equipment failures.
  • Uses the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)/EAM system.
  • Responsible for scheduling maintenance project planning and reporting.
  • Maintainance purchase orders/material ordering.
  • Coordinates contractors as required.
  • Participates in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Adheres to Stackpole’s policies and procedures.
  • Adheres and supports Stackpole’s Safety and Environmental policies and practices.
  • Ensure the requirements of the Quality Management System, IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 are conformed to.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Must be a college graduate of a technical program.
  • Hands-on related experience is preferred.
  • Ticketed related trades an asset.
  • Experience with CMMS/EAM Systems an asset.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment an asset.
  • Experience with ISO and TS quality systems an asset.
  • Independent and self-motivated, attention to detail.
  • Computer proficient in various software programs (advanced Excel skills required).
  • Must have excellent organizational time management skills to complete the required tasks.


Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Must be a college graduate of a technical program.
