This role is based in our Oakville office, and reports to the IT Business Partner HR, Procurement amp; Legal.

Job Summary

Working with the IT Business Partner HR, Procurement and Legal, the Business Analyst-HRIS is responsible for the analysis, configuration, and implementation of business requirements. Work directly with clients and system vendors at all levels of the organization to help identify and clarify business needs, facilitating workshops to gather and document specific business and functional requirements, working independently or collaboratively with Project Managers amp; Developers to implement software projects. Construct detailed analysis, interface specifications, data mapping specifications, process models including data dictionaries.


Principal Responsibilities

  • Build and handle relationships with business users, vendors, customers, project team members and management leaders.
  • Act as the guide on current Human Resources functionality, amp; as a spokesperson to advocate for the business with new capabilities or functionality within systems.
  • Capture and communicate all the vital requirements that support the delivery of business value, fulfil goals and objectives, and meet collaborators’ needs.
  • Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications and works with the development teams to transfer them into technology solutions.
  • Research and stay ahead of the latest technology and process improvements with a view of evaluating suitability for IPEX.
  • Lead and participate in User Acceptance Testing sessions for confirmation of requirements implementation, prior to deployment.
  • Facilitate Data Migration activities.
  • Identify and communicate risks and issues that may require changes to plans or scope.
  • Get approval for changes that may arise during requirements gathering process, and design signoff from the business.
  • Ensure appropriate collaborators are involved and acquire required information for gathering and validating requirements and other artifacts.
  • Help the business to quantify the improvement opportunity through data and estimates.
  • Educate stakeholders on benefits of changes and acquire their agreement.
  • Direct multi-functional activity and track that it is completed as scheduled.
  • Demonstrate System capabilities to improve the Business experience.
  • Communicate progress, risks, barriers, and status on a periodic basis.
  • Assist process owners in realizing/holding gains through control plans.
  • Facilitate the creation of a RACI Matrix for new solutions and processes implemented to ensure their effective utilization and support.
  • Triage/Resolve reported issues of the HRIS / Payroll / Time / MDM / Talent functionalities.
  • Understand Integrations between Systems and clearly articulate requirements for effective communication.

Requirements

Qualifications amp; Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a similar degree or equivalent experience.
  • Industry Experience: 10+ years working in the field of software support. Or 10+ years of demonstrable experience designing and improving processes and user experiences. Preferred experience supporting HR Systems domains in the manufacturing / distribution or retail industries.
  • Software Experience: 4+ years configuring and adapting Human Resource and Payroll systems.
  • Preferably Bilingual with Excellent written English skills.
  • Agile, Lean and Scrum methodologies are a plus.
  • CCBA or other Business Analysis certifications, diplomas or training is considered an asset.
