Job Summary

The EDI Business Analyst will be part of the team who is the main point of contact for trading partner onboarding and support; and will provide functional and technical EDI / B2B / VMI services, setups, support and customer portals administration for all projects. You and the team will have responsibility for project and/or problem analysis, as well as for identification, implementation, testing, deployment, and documentation of the trading partners. Work both independently and with other IT departments to configure systems and ensure outsourced trading partners develop translator maps to facilitate the electronic transmission of sales and purchasing transactions. Responsible for the monitoring 3rd party SaaS solution productivity, projects, on-time management, and vendor relations, and in addition to supporting of existing integrations in a fast-paced team environment.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with new or existing trading partners to collect and analyze requirements.
  • Evaluate user request for new or modified computer program to determine time required.
  • Work with 3rd party vendors EDI/GDSN/Customer portals in administrator capacity, assign and lead the activities of the 3rd party SaaS EDI team involving design, development and systems analysis, mapping, testing and data communication configuration with trading partners. Ensures team completes projects within budget and on time.
  • Handle EDI-related business support responsibilities, which include production monitoring, file maintenance, ad hoc reporting, and consultation with internal and external users.
  • Lead maintenance of Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN) interfaces for publishing item attribute data to trading partners using GS1 standards. Manages trading partner access to Pilot item publications.
  • Configure communications for EDI transmissions including but not limited to: AS2, SFTP and VAN setups
  • Update and maintain account information in company databases
  • Provide ongoing training and technical support to internal associates
  • Impact and analysis for future improvements, maintain a leadership role in setting service direction.
  • Troubleshoot and coordinate efficient resolutions and evaluation for errors and issues found internally, or by business departments.

Requirements

Qualifications amp; Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Certifications in Business analysis, Project Management, ITIL, etc., are preferred.
  • 5-8 years of progressive experience working with EDI relationships.
  • At least 3-5 years of managerial experience in EDI strategically and daily operations.
  • Excellent understanding of the key business data and transactional process flows used in procure-to-pay function and order-to-cash process.
  • Shown success in developing and maintaining effective business relationships.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of EDI Translator software, hands-on experience with EDI transaction and messaging structures including ANSI X12, XML and flatfiles.
  • Familiarity with SaaS administration such as IBM, Opentext, TIE Kinetix, will be considered an asset.
  • Systems proficiency in SAP is a plus.
  • Experience in SAP XI/PI Native adapters like XI, HTTP, IDOC and RFC and Technology Adapters like Seeburger AS2, RNIF, REST, File, SFTP, JDBC, SOAP, MAIL and JMS Message Adapters.
  • Knowledge in ALE, IDOC, EDI technology, B2B Integration using B2B addon, SFTP - PGP addon and good functional knowledge in Sales domain of SAP (Infotype updates etc.) and other O2C processes in ECC or S4Hana.
  • Experience with design and development of integration scenarios using the various components and tools of SAP SLD, Integration Builder, Runtime workbench, Netweaver Administrator, Webservice Navigator, EJB Explorer, B2B Integration cockpit, Netweaver Developer Studio, Solution Manager etc.
