SUMMARY
Reporting to the IT Applications Supervisor, the Systems Analyst will support key systems for our Canadian Divisions, in designing, planning, developing, implementing, as well as supporting them post-implementation. As a member of the IT Applications team, you will be a member of the team responsible for supporting our enterprise applications while also working on enterprise IT projects.
EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS
- Assist in the implementation of a new ERP and warehouse management solutions.
- Support our ERP and Business Intelligence systems
- Ability to understand the business needs and translate requirements into a scalable solution design that supports Doman today and tomorrow.
- Ensure the solution design intent is realized and works seamlessly with existing systems and infrastructure through prototype roll outs.
- Implement the design structured testing to ensure functionality as per requirements and identify and address deficiencies.
Requirements
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Experience in distribution, manufacturing or lumber industries.
- Experience with ERP and Business Intelligence Systems
- Strong knowledge and minimum of 3 years of experience working with:
- EDI for automating Purchase Orders, Advanced Shipping Notice, Invoicing with suppliers and customers.
- installing, upgrading, configuring, customizing, and modifying ERP modules to enhance the system to fit the business.
- Strong knowledge and a minimum of 3 years of experience with the following business systems and process:
- Wholesale - Demand Planning, Forecasting, Warehouse Management System, Transport Management Systems, Replenishment, Inventory Management
- Corporate - Finance (A/R, A/P, G/L, Data Management, Audit, Purchasing, Selling, Costing)
- Manufacturing: BOM, MRP, MRP Routing, Production Control, Production Planning and Forecasting
- Strong knowledge and a minimum of 5 years of experience using top tier business reporting systems (Qlik, Tableau, PowerBI).
- Ability to take on new opportunities and challenges, with a passion to continue to learn, develop and grow oneself.
- Dedication to operational efficiency, investing in automating processes and systems to improve Doman operations.
- Ability to adapt and thrive in an agile, fast-paced IT team.
- Commitment to quality and investing in results that add value and drive the business.
- Sense of urgency executing job responsibilities, prioritizing urgent and important work.
- Ability to identify, evaluate, and suggest business opportunities for today and tomorrow, considering top line and bottom line impacts.
- Excellent skills with system mapping tools like Visio.
- 3 years of experience developing solutions based on the PMI Agile framework.
- MS SQL databases and stored procedures in SQL.
EDUCATION
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science or Information Technology.
