Job Description
We are looking for a talented and energetic Senior Marketing Manager to lead marketing activities throughout North America.
The successful candidate will write annual strategic marketing plans, implement nationwide marketing processes and campaigns, and lead bid activities in support of NA Business Units regional targets. Responsible for strategically assisting with business development activities; developing familiarity with and knowledge of local markets and clients and supporting other business development needs of the firm regionwide.
Steer is an international multimodal transportation planning consultancy with 22 offices around the world. Steer has a well-earned reputation for delivering thoughtful and innovative analysis of the highest quality and providing an independent perspective on a wide range of urban transportation issues.
North America marketing activities:
- Develop yearly marketing plan for North America in conjunction with Regional Director, Head of Marketing amp; Communications and North American market leaders.
- Strategize approach to award submissions, sponsorships, speaking opportunities, conference attendance, client contact including email newsletters, Movement Matters series and other events, and PR.
- Develop North America digital marketing opportunities, including website, video and social media, to determine best approach to enhance brand recognition and market share throughout the region. Support LinkedIn training
- Support internal comms within the region
- Directly informed by business development objectives and the business plan, guide senior leaders to deliver external comms
- Align with and helps inform marketing budgets.
Client outreach activities:
- In collaboration with the Regional Director, and the Corporate Marketing Team, develop press releases, staff, and project announcements
- Lead the firm's North America website content updates, corporate qualifications and collateral materials, monthly e-newsletters, digital content, webinars and events/seminars
- Lead conference planning and attendance and speaking engagement opportunities
- Write/interview/research thought leadership pieces for News amp; Insights on website, social media, etc.
- Maintains client, consultant and subconsultant database and innovatively strategizes on ways to align to win work
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English or related field
- Demonstrable experience in a professional services consulting environment
- Effective writing and verbal communicator
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and Salesforce.com, CRM systems, website CMS systems, and e-newsletter software
