Job Description

Purpose:

The Fuels Delivery Driver with Jack Smith Fuels (a division of MacEwen Petroleum Inc.) is responsible for the courteous, safe, timely and efficient loading and delivery of fuels to customers.

This is a full-time, permanent role. The shift is a dedicated early morning shift, working 3:00am to 1:00pm, Monday to Friday. Additional hours may be required on occasion.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safe loading of the fuel delivery truck.
  • Ensure the accurate and safe delivery to customers.
  • Ensure accurate recording of product delivery, delivery reports and fuel tickets.
  • Obey all legal and company regulations affecting the operation of motor vehicles.
  • Ensure and maintain the cleanliness of the truck, cab and work location.
  • Assist with the delivery of lubricants and other products and equipment, when required.
  • Other duties as required.


Requirements

Education and Experience Required:

  • High school diploma required.
  • DZ certification required.
  • 3 years' commercial driving experience is required.
  • Fuel haulage and/or liquid bulk delivery experience is highly desirable.


Specialized Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must posses a clean abstract.
  • Ability to provide acceptable CVOR.
  • Excellent customer service skills.


Other:

  • Ability to work autonomously, within a small team.
  • Ability to work permanent 3:00am to 1:00pm shift, Monday to Friday.
  • Ability and willingness to work in all weather situations.
  • Position requires frequent climbing in and out of the cab, bending and lifting heavy loads.
  • Local geographical knowledge is preferred.
  • Mechanical inclination is desirable.
