Job Description

FLO is seeking a motivated, innovative, and detail-oriented Application Engineering Specialist to join our team and support the development of our branded networks including FLO. The role will require the individual to be a product expert working closely with application engineers and internal teams to help drive the continued evolution of our application engineering services across Canada and the US. The right candidate has experience supporting sales, product, and/or operations teams as a key technical contributor and process owner.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with application engineers and sales account managers from different regions to provide technical product support during the entire sales cycle to help translate the full value of FLO’s solutions for existing and new customers.
  • Support application engineers in preparing detailed site design recommendation and proposal packages.
  • Support application engineers in developing new contents such as application notes, design guidelines, and presentations that help customers understand our products and services.
  • Support in knowledge base creation and management.
  • Coordinate with the Product team and other internal teams to continuously improve specification documentsandtechnical drawings to help with customer’s specifying process.
  • Support in customer presentations and revisions.
  • Own, manage, and continuously improve the documentation processes, from technical solution conceptualization, design to ready for commissioning.
  • Perform data analysis of team metrics and KPIs and continuously improve the processes.
  • Work collaboratively with the Sales team to systematically outreach to technical stakeholders, tracking and providing insights of customer feedback and industry’s technical development trends for product and process improvements.
  • Work on creating and improving tools to help with site design and right-sizing EV charging solutions (EVSE and network setup) for different use cases, for example, multi-residentials, workplace.
  • Assist in coordinating and implementing pilot projects to help bring new products to market that demonstrate the value of our products and services to key customers such as utilities.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Electrical, Mechatronics), technical field, or equivalent successful experience in a similar industry role.
  • 2 or more years work experience in engineering services.
  • Service-oriented with a focus on improving customer experience.
  • Experience working with electrical plans and architectural drawings.
  • A basic understanding ofenergy management and network communications technologies.
  • Experience with process development and improvement.
  • Experience with analyzing, visualizing, and presenting data for customer insights would be an asset.
  • A strategic listener and an effective communicator with interpersonal skills capable of relating well to individuals at all levels of an organization and presenting professionally to both colleagues and clients.
  • Experience with Salesforce would be an asset.
  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple accounts and projects in different stages.
  • A problem solver, able to troubleshoot issues systematically and to prioritize.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally within Canada and the US.
