Job Description
PDFTron is looking for an experienced Senior Business Solutions Analyst to provide strategic and operational analysis services to our rapidly growing business. The focus of this position is to work closely with the finance team and the other functional business areas to gain an in-depth understanding of the business strategy, processes, services and business systems in operation in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific. This role will be key to understanding the system capabilities and changes needed to address the challenges of a business growing organically and through multiple acquisitions.
As a Senior Business Solutions Analyst, you will be responsible for reviewing our business solutions to identify and address operational and technological risks as well as opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity. Responsibilities will include a full range of activities from leading small to mid-size projects, to working with vendor business partners on larger, more complex projects.
Responsibilities
- Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders; identifying business needs; determining and carrying out necessary processes and practices; monitoring progress and results; recognizing and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; and adapting to competing demands, organizational changes and new responsibilities.
- Identify, create and facilitate process design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis and design; focusing on quality improvement and data management; ensuring data is reliable and valid; developing process improvements or re-engineering and recommending elimination; integrating new systems and processes with existing ones; and partnering with internal customers and external vendors to ensure systems provided meet the long-term business strategies.
- Manage internal customer relationships and expectations by developing a communication process to keep others up-to-date on project results.
- Lead or participate in multiple projects by completing and updating project documentation; managing project scope; adjusting schedules when necessary; determining daily priorities; ensuring efficient and on-time delivery of project tasks and milestones; following proper escalation paths; and managing customer and supplier relationships.
- Provide leadership to cross functional team members and peers by collaborating; articulating ideas and viewpoints to senior management, peers and others; identifying and initiating projects; managing resources; driving the resolution of issues; and holding self and team accountable for results.
- Collaborate closely with developers to implement customization requirements to business systems and provide the necessary guidance to testers during QA process.
- Identify ways to increase adoption and customer satisfaction with core business systems.
- Serve as a liaison between Finance, Operations and IT to assist or gather business requirements needed for system modifications, enhancement and implementations.
Requirements
- 4+ years of recent, related experience with business and systems analysis including experience managing multiple projects.
- Experience analyzing and improving critical business information systems (e.g. ERP, CRM and HRIS systems).
- Must have experience working on large scale projects as well as handling day-to-day operational requests from the business.
- Strong project management, ability to successfully manage multiple tasks at any given point, strong relationship-building skills amp; communication skills.
- Data analysis Must have proficiency with SQL, Microsoft Excel.
