Primary Responsibilities
Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the Transit Dispatcher is responsible for the dispatch of drivers and providing accurate direction. They ensure dispatch and driver operations are in accordance with established standards. Assist in incident reporting and be knowledgeable about regional area and provide solutions and/or alternatives. The role also includes providing a high degree of customer service in a fast-paced work environment. Dispatch Rate to Start $19.00 per hour.

- Strong customer service experience
- Schedule new bookings and coordinate with drivers regarding changes
- Utilize radio to communicate effectively with all on route drivers
- Identify all drivers active on routes are on time to ensure customer satisfaction
- Manage and pull a variety of reports as per the managers directive
- Answer phones, and email correspondence in a professional and courteous manner
- Take responsibility for the Emergency Response Plan in the event of a serious collision
- Clean criminal record search
- Excellent time and stress management skills
- Good organization and communication skills
- Proficient in computer software experience in MS Office (Word amp; Excel)
- Understanding of transportation company an asset
- Geographic Knowledge of surrounding area (Owen Sound)
