Vulcraft Canada, the local division of the largest joist and deck manufacturer, supplies quality products, on-time deliveries, as well as a breadth of offerings and innovative solutions to the steel construction industry. With manufacturing locations in Ancaster, Ontario, and Nisku, Alberta, Vulcraft plants are strategically located to serve customers across the Canadian market.

We are a young Canadian NUCOR Vulcraft division. The safety of our team is our top priority. We manufacture open web steel joists and steel decking. We are looking to add Riggers and welders who are driven, hardworking individuals who are looking to join a team atmosphere. We are willing to train the right candidates. CWB GMAW Tacking/Flat Fillet certification and experience an asset.

Vulcraft Canada is looking for a shipper/receiver to join our team. The shipper/receiver is responsible for the safe and efficient loading and unloading of materials.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safe and efficient loading and unloading of trailers using a forklift, Combilift and crane.
• Frequent heavy lifting of materials
• Movement of materials within the shop to ensure materials are stored in a safe manner
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of all shipping and receiving documents
• Ensure documents are cross checked with purchase/sales orders for accuracy and received in the system daily
• Assist with inventory counts
• Perform other duties as required by the Supervisor

Requirements

• At least 1-2 years experience in a shipping and receiving role

• Experience in a manufacturing/warehouse setting
• Experience in the steel industry is considered an asset
• Safety conscious attitude
• Overtime hours may be required
