Job Summary
IPEX is a leading provider of thermoplastic piping products. We are growing our operations in Canada amp; the U.S. and are seeking an experienced Operations Team Lead to be responsible for large, complex, multi-year projects. The incumbent will be responsible to serve as Level3 operations support for all North America and global initiatives.
Working with the Data Center Operations Manager, you will be reporting to our Montreal/Oakville offices. We are looking for a technical lead for Windows Servers, Domain Controllers, Active Directory, O365, cloud-based applications Servers and Citrix. In addition, supervise technical employees and consultants, perform Workforce Planning, ensure proper functioning of IT Level3 operations, produce reports and the documentation, as well as design and assess Infrastructure solutions.
Principal Responsibilities
- Be the last point of contact to the Operations Team
- Mentor existing staff on standard processes and technologies to drive IT solution adoption
- Lead IT resolution efforts
- Perform installation, configuration and maintenance of software including operating system, patches and 3rd party products.
- Maintain and solve Server configuration and performance issues
- Provide support for L3 technical issues
- Provision and Maintain physical and virtual Servers, including Blade Server technologies
- Methodically troubleshoot issues using a variety of monitoring tools
- Document processes and systemsMust have experience working with a wide range of applications including:
- Email / Messaging solutions / O365 / Exchange
- File / Print servers
- FTP Server / File transfer support
- Antivirus
- Backups
- Cloud based Applications
- Must be familiar with application servers, supporting application team and supplier in the application fix
- Understanding of Network topologies and concepts
- Ability to resolve server issues in a LAN / WAN environment
- Provide mentorship in infrastructure methodologies and techniques
- Develop, maintain and improve infrastructure
- Assist in the DR (Disaster Recovery) planning, implementation and execution
- Conduct Infrastructure technology and opportunity watches
Requirements
Qualifications amp; Experience
Bachelor / College degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.
Technical Skills amp; Experience
- 10+ years of total experience in IT
- 5+ years leading a technical team
- Consistent record supporting Microsoft Windows Servers on premises or Cloud
- AD, Domain Controller, GPOs, DNS, DHCP
- Capacity to handle Cloud based applications with identity and access management
- Support remote locations
- Ability to tackle hardware such as servers, load balancer...
- 2+ years of Working with Citrix, O365, Azure, AWS
