As ATB’s next Associate Project Design Manager you will work with team members throughout ATB and People Places amp; Spaces (PPamp;S) to provide support and be accountable for the team member and client experience in ATB branch and corporate spaces, FFamp;E specification management, furniture management and move coordination. Throughout these activities you will also manage ATB’s corporate and branch design playbooks.

Reporting to the Director, Real Estate amp; Projects, PPamp;S, the Associate Project Design Manager will work closely with the Managing Director, PPamp;S and Project Design Manager to support the real estate strategy and operational priorities of ATB. PPamp;S is ATB’s real estate and facility team, responsible for creating the spaces and providing the expertise to elevate and strengthen ATB’s journey to 2030. Real Estate amp; Projects is responsible for ATB’s overall real estate strategy, leasing, design and construction of our physical spaces throughout the portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Manage team member and client experiences in ATB branch and corporate spaces, including but not limited to: space staging, design recommendations, facility management requests and business partner relationship building
  • Manage and oversee ATB’s FFamp;E and finish standards and specifications. Maintain and develop design standards playbooks for both retail and corporate space as required
  • Coordinate and execute space moves by working closely with the Property Managers, Project Managers, moving vendors and internal move captains, ensuring all necessary team members are accounted for in the move plan
  • Conduct branch and corporate location reviews throughout all of ATB’s network, to accomplish the above
  • Assist with project closeout and operations turnover
  • Coordinate furniture selection, inventory management and reuse of existing furniture for current and future projects.
  • Assist with schematic and conceptual design as required. Prepare layouts, sketches and space plans as required to convey design intent
  • Assist with project design/planning documentation as required. Collaborate with Project Managers on project schedules, budgets, resources, stakeholders and next steps when needed. Ensure that project risks are identified and mitigated in a timely fashion
  • Manage and assist with management of relevant accompanying vendor relationships
  • Oversee OHamp;S, Operations and other business partner alignment and feedback integration within standards and specifications
  • Oversee design/planning process management and associated documentation
  • Assist with deficiency review and project QA/QC management with vendors
  • Remain up to date on external design trends and internal enterprise expectations
  • Work within existing Facility Management software to record and transfer project data
  • Coordinate with Project Design Manager, Director and Managing Director on overall design strategy and goals
  • Some evening and weekend work may be required. Travel, predominantly within Alberta, will be required
