The Role:
Neo is looking for a Content Writer to join our team as a full-time content writer. As a short-form expert you know how to take content, make it scannable, and enjoy seeing how your content performs. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting engaging content, creating A/B testing, CTAs and overall supporting lifecycle communications. As our content writer, you’ll be working closely with our Lifecycle team and contribute to our innovative, strategic, and high-performance lifecycle content with a mission to improve the financial experience for all Canadians. In this role, you will be crafting messaging that directly contributes to moving the needle and realizing Neo’s vision of disrupting the Canadian retail banking sector.
What you'll be doing:
- Working collaboratively on compelling brand stories and creating copy that helps shape a consistent brand experience across all channels
- Interpreting creative direction and adapting points from creative briefs into inventive concepts and persuasive copy
- Proposing copy concepts and presenting underlying strategic thinking that will help achieve marketing, and communications objectives
- Producing clear, concise, error-free content that adheres to Neo’s style guidelines
- Writing high-engagement content that reflects Neo’s brand voice
- Content optimization through A/B testing and iterating on data-driven results
- Providing actionable insights on trends, innovations, and competitive landscape to inform current and future approaches
- Simultaneously manage multiple projects with short deadlines
- Build strong relationships throughout the company to help unify our content and fully understand the marketing goals, needs, and objectives
Who we are looking for:
- 2-4 years writing and editing content with a track record of shaping and shipping must-read content across multiple online mediumsweb, social, mobile amp; video
- You have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in marketing or communications - preferred but not required
- You are skilled in writing compelling copy in short form
- You have the ability to take briefs and create engaging content for multiple platforms
- You have a strong eye for detail and your proofreading skills are exceptional
- You are skilled in the nuances of writing for digital channels
- If you have a solid understanding of the marketing funnel and how it influences copy, this is also a definite plus
- A deep understanding of the mechanics of producing must-read content; you know how to make a subject 'pop' to a reader
- Experience in a fast-paced environment where competing priorities, uncertain outcomes and iteration is the norm
- If you have the ability to create copy in French, this is a definite plus
