About the Money PM/GM role
We’re looking for an outstanding Product Leader with exceptional commercial acumen and a deep understanding of the payments space to join Float and lead a team that’s building the best corporate card and spend management platform in Canada! The successful individual will have the incredible opportunity to build out Float’s end to end payments products! The ultimate title of this role is dependent on the level of experience of the candidate we hire.
This might just be the most exciting Fintech Product Leader opportunity in Canada, even if we do say so ourselves. As the Product Leader for our Money Team, you’ll have complete ownership of building out Float’s payment infrastructure. This means that you will be responsible for all payment methods Float offers today and what they will look like in future. The sky’s the limit.
As the Money PM/GM at Float:
- You’ll have full ownership of the Payments vertical which includes our cards product, funding rails and future payments related products.
- You’ll work closely with the founders, key external partners, in collaboration with our engineering, design teams, and with our amazing customers to build out our payments infrastructure and develop new cutting edge payments products.
- You’ll create, shape, and ship key product functionality, and help us differentiate Float in the market.
- You will work directly with the internal Float team to support our core product roadmap with payments capabilities.
- You will work closely with legal, compliance and payments providers to improve existing and launch new products at Float
- You own and manage all external relationships with key vendors and 3rd party partners. You will own and negotiate all contracts, terms of service, and can navigate the associated regulatory requirements.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for creating a seamless spending experience with innovative payment products. You’ll enhance Float’s reliability and speed of transactions, build a reliable payments infrastructure, and work with the fraud team to support the implementation of fraud infrastructure. You’ll also provide payment and infrastructure support to our core and financial products, and work with our key payment vendors to support our core product’s functionality.
What your week-to-week looks like:
- Work with our internal team to build product capabilities and new infrastructure that support our core and financial products.
- Ruthlessly prioritize and scope activities based on business and customer impact: features that move the needle.
- Own key external vendor relationships and stakeholder management supporting Float’s product, including all payments negotiations, managing regulatory requirements, fee schedules, as well as other key external details, timelines, and expectations.
- Own the Pamp;L of the payments vertical; unit economics and everything in between
- Continuously analyze customer feedback and find the most impactful ways to measure product outcomes.
- Work closely with our product, engineering, and ops teams to remove roadblocks and deliver with rapid time-to-market and optimal resources. Speed and agility is essential.
- Break down complex problems into steps that drive rapid product development.
Requirements
You’ll be great in this role if:
- You’ve got the experience. To be successful in this role, we’re looking for 10+ years of Product Management experience, specifically in the Fintech payments space. You are known as a payments gu
