Job Description
Valard is Canada’s premier utility contractor, as well as head of the Valard Group of Companies and part of the Quanta Group, the largest electrical power contractor in North America. Valard has full-service capabilities for transmission, distribution, substations, foundations, telecommunications and renewable energy.
Valard is seeking a Camp Maintenance Worker for our major projects in Northern Ontario.
Must have a valid Full G Drivers License
This is a 20 / 8 camp position
Travel to and from the project is provided from approved major airports
Requirements
- This position requires to have your own tools : Tool belt, Screwdrivers, Hammer, heavy stapler, Tape Measure, Pliers, Utility Knife, Adjustable Wrenches, Level, Power Drill, circular saw, flash light.
- CSA OMEGA approved boots
- Basic maintenance and trouble-shooting on, furnaces, water heaters, kitchen equipment in a commercial kitchen, and other camp equipment.
- Perform basic carpentry and basic plumbing.
- Move heavy loads either by hand, with tools or heavy machinery.
- Keep camp grounds tidy.
- Clean camp equipment.
- Work in all type of outdoor weather.
- Analyze maintenance problems and propose solutions.
- Make materials shopping lists to complete maintenance jobs.
- Keep an inventory of camp supplies.
- Fill out paperwork to ensue you perform safe work.
