JOB PURPOSE:
IPEX is a leading provider of thermoplastic piping products. We are growing our operations in Canada amp; the U.S. As we get ready to open our Center of Excellence (COE), we are looking for an experienced Training Manager. This is an exciting time for us. Come see what we're all about!
The incumbent will work as part of the IT team and in close collaboration with the Change Management department. They will play an integral part in ensuring IT initiatives and transformations are enabled by IT. For instance, their initial focus on our SAP rollout as well as IT related trainings. They must ensure end-user training needs are met across the organization prior to deployment. Honing in on the people enablement and adoption through end-to-end training deployments. Here, the successful candidate will use the ADDIE model of training (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation).
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
Working with the IT PMO Director, the IT Training Manager will be responsible for all training related matters such as:
Training Needs Analysis
- Lead the training curriculum by role
- Own and support SAP Enable Now maintenance for work area, library, content review, content validation and publishing
- SAP Enable Now recordings of simulations are built as needed
- Address and assess change requests for existing roles and ensure a training needs analysis is completed for their impact on training
- Ensure end-users requiring training based on role mapping are identified
- Assess all IT applications and end-user impacts are identified with training gaps and training needs
Training Design and Development
- Develop course content and outlines
- Deliver quality Instructional Design of training courses
- Capture and relay all the vital business scenarios to support trainings and deliver tailor fit end-user training modules
- Standardize the training content format
- Translate training material
- Validate training data sheets and confirm they are tested with appropriate user roles
- Maintain an up-to-date Facilitator Guides
Training Material Management and Publishing
- Training documentation control on SharePoint for instructors
- Keep instructors informed and supported for training content access
- Ensure SAP e-learnings are reviewed, validated, and tested
- Collaborate and align with corporate Lamp;D on publishing of e-learnings internally
Training Environment Management
- Lead Training Environment System for SAP and all future IT training
- Handle data loads and transports in the training platform
- User ID creations for end-users and instructors
- Test and validate training scenarios
- Align with SAP Basis Team for SAP training environment refresh schedule; system updates; golden backups; client copies, data loads, etc. as related to training
- Align with Global team on system transport freeze during end-user training periods
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education amp; Certificates
- University degree in Education or Computer Science or related equivalent work experience
- SAP training experience is required
- Proven track record in an IT training role
- Change Management experience is considered an asset
Technical Skills amp; Experience
- Good knowledge of SAP processes, knowledge of S/4 HANA and FIORI is an asset.
- Experience working with SAP Enable Now as an administrator, a producer, and viewer
- Good digital literacy (Word; PowerPoint; Excel)
- SharePoint, Access and LMS skills an asset
