Chief Operating Officer (COO)

This is your chance to make a difference and have a large impact at a high growth SaaS company! Coconut is looking to expand its Executive Team by hiring its first Chief Operating Officer (COO). We are looking for an experienced, dynamic, and inspiring leader with a strong business acumen to take Coconut to the next stage in our growth. In this role, you will be a huge contributor in architecting the organization from 200 to 500+ people. At Coconut, we get it done and we do it right. In this role, you will be the CEO’s second in command and will be responsible for leading Coconut Software’s operational efficiency and productivity across the entire business. You will lead the company in building out a scalable Operations function. More importantly, you will play a key role in maintaining and elevating our extraordinary culture while doing it. You will start by providing an in-depth review of the current business structure and will propose and execute on operational improvements. Overall, you will be a strategic and valuable partner to us and will join us on our course to $100+ million in revenue. You're fired up to bring people, passion and performance together.

As the COO, you will report directly to the CEO. This role will require approximately 25% travel within North America.

Responsibilities

Business Objectives

  • Be a true partner and advisor to the CEO to set and execute on the organizational vision, mission and business strategy with clearly defined metrics
  • Develop actionable business strategies, objectives, and plans that ensure alignment with short and long-term objectives (developed in tandem with the CEO)
  • Oversee the company’s operations, project timelines, and department results, while continuing a highly inclusive culture to ensure team members thrive
  • Drive alignment across all departments to ensure all areas of focus line up to mission critical deliverables
  • Contribute to developing the strategy in architecting the organization's growth from 200 to 500+ people
  • Assist the CEO with investor relations, Board needs and fundraising activities
  • Create, centralize, and build scaling systems and processes
  • Measure and analyze current revenue streams, product offerings, and relationships to optimize business growth and revenue strategy
  • Implement financial procedures and organizational policies and programs to drive the company’s operating capabilities to surpass the industry average
  • Develop a strategy for reporting on the company’s performance, in a clear and understandable way
  • Collaborate with leadership on assessing and implementing improved processes and new technologies to increase efficiency
  • Stick within a budget and work closely with finance
  • Run executive and leadership meetings to create focus and ensure the most important discussions are happening
  • Play a role in maintaining our Glassdoor rating of 4.9
