Senior Web Developer
REDspace builds cutting-edge video streaming technology and user experiences that are transforming the media amp; entertainment industry for clients such as WarnerMedia and Paramount. We’re looking for seasoned, experienced Senior Web Developers to join our growing cross-functional team. This position requires technical familiarity with frontend development, good communication skills, along with good organization and collaboration abilities.

You’re a passionate, collaborative person who is eager to create cutting-edge solutions and take on any new opportunities to learn. Skills/experience.
- 5+ years of web-based application development experience.
- Minimum 4+ years of Web Application development experience.
- Deep knowledge and understanding of web browser rendering and UI performance optimization.
- Experience leading development on individual product features.
- Proficient at generating code in existing code bases and from scratch.
- Strong understanding of the following:
- Web architecture amp; web standards
- JavaScript MVC Frameworks (Angular 7, React 16 (hooks), Vue)
- HTML5
- CSS3, SCSS
- Ecmascript 2015 (ES6+) amp; Ecmascript 5
- Agile Methodologies such as Scrum, Sprints amp; Kanban
- Source Code Management (Git, GitHub, Bitbucket)
- Node Ecosystem Build Tools (Webpack, Gulp, NPM)
- Writing unit and integration tests
- Integrating with REST API’s
- Experience with the following is beneficial:
- Understanding of Redux thunks and sagas
- Familiarity with SQL and NOSQL style databases
- Experience working with AWS
- Experience with NodeJS, Express
- Experience with TypeScript
- Work well in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment that requires meeting tight deadlines.
- Ability to work both individually and collaboratively with a team of developers, designers, project managers, and clients.
- Great attitude and sense of humour (even if it’s just making yourself laugh). You'll be hard-pressed to find egos around here.
- Passion for learning new technologies and a desire to stay up to date with industry trends and best practices.
- Taking pride and ownership of everything you're assigned, seeing all tasks through to completion.
Bonus Points.
- Experience building streaming video applications is considered an asset.
- Experience developing and supporting high traffic consumer or business applications.
