This is an exciting opportunity to join Owl.co’s fast-growing team. We are looking for a Security Engineer to join our Information Security department. What You'll Be Doing

  • Collaborate with our CISO to build out the foundational security practices for Owl
  • Design, implement and maintain cloud security policies and technologies
  • Threat modeling and security risk assessments, Secure Software Development Lifecycle
  • Driving transparency across management lines on the discovered risks and mitigations
  • Ensure continued compliance to various regulations like SOC2, HIPAA
  • Work closely with the product and engineering teams to assess, test, and implement new solutions
  • Perform detailed cloud design reviews and make recommendations for security enhancements
  • Identify issues, common patterns, and opportunities for improvement
  • Work with the engineering team on code reviews
  • Analyze the system design and infrastructure, spot the potential flaws and recommend on best practices on resolving
  • Conduct penetration testing of the software and cloud infrastructure


What You'll Need

  • Post-secondary education in information technology or related discipline
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in cloud security, secure application development
  • Experience working with AWS is required
  • Software Development background
  • Excellent communication and articulation skills
