Position Overview:
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the Schools Supervisor is responsible for day to day operations of the Schools Division. This position will be based in London.
Primary Responsibilities
Operations
- Ensures drivers meet the standards set out in the schools manual and Contract
- Covers school runs when required
- Will assist with lowering the deficiencies of drivers by coordinating required training
- Willing to commute to other regions for support where needed
- Assists with managing Hours of Service
- Oversees the completion of monthly ghostings
- Completes safety discussions and trip inspections
- Contribute and help prepare driver information meetings
- Take responsibility for the Emergency Response Plan in the event of a serious collision and attend the scene
- Communicate and liaison with the consortia
- Ensure the smooth operation of the schools’ division
Training
- Remains current with MTO requirements and HTA and provides necessary updates to Trainers
- Respond to trends identified in Safety meetings by implementing necessary training
- Coordinates with Human Resources and Health and Safety to arrange training
Other
- Acts as an ambassador of Voyago on and off company property
- Helps increase Voyago’s visibility within the community by participating in company sponsored events
- Is willing to participate in education upgrading as required
- Switch out vehicles for breakdowns and services
- Assist with dispatch duties when necessary
Requirements
The ideal candidate will posses the following qualifications that include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Completion of a University or College Degree or Equivalent
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role within transportation or service industry
- Valid B Class Driving Licence (or willing to upgrade to a B class)
- Effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Proficient in computer software, experience in MS Office (Word amp; Excel)
- Available for shifts outside of regular business hours (afternoons, weekends etc.)
- Highly organized and able to multitask
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of professionalism
