Jr. Youth Coordinator

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES

The Jr Youth Coordinator is supportive in shaping the atmosphere and experience for Village Jr. Youth at Youth Nights and Events. The Jr. Youth Coordinator will also have responsibilities in ensuring Sunday class is inviting, organized, and done with excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supports the Jr Youth amp; Young Adults Associate in creating an engaging Jr Youth service midweek and on Sundays.
• Ensures logistics are prepared and executed with excellence for mid-week Jr Youth Service.
• Responsible for the setup and tear down of the midweek service and Sunday experience, ensuring the environment is excellent with a fun and inviting environment.
• Plans and coordinates the games and activities in partnership with volunteer leaders.
• Responsible for sourcing necessary supplies and equipment for mid-week and Sundays.
• Manages and schedules the Production team who run all lighting/visuals for service.
• Schedules Sunday service teaching team ensuring all curriculum and teaching materials are printed and ready.
• Responsible for ensuring proper ratios and standards are followed Sunday mornings.
• Provide initial training and orientation for Jr Youth classroom teachers.
• Fill in as the teacher if volunteer teacher is unable to attend.
• Ensures all responsibilities are completed in a purposeful and focused manner that points people to Jesus.
• Acts as a servant by inviting, training and supporting others to serve.
• Ensures all responsibilities are produced, promoted and led with a high level of innovation and excellence, honoring God at the highest level.
• Acts with a sense of ambitious urgency, ensuring all work is completed wisely and impactfully. Time is a gift from God.
• Maintains an openness to being a learner by committing to continuous spiritual, professional, and self development.
• Contributes to the best team culture by participating joyfully and working well with peers.
• Commits to thanking at least one volunteer on a weekly basis.
• Demonstrates behaviour consistent with the Standard of Conduct as outlined in the Village Staff Manual.
