PRIMARY OBJECTIVES

The Videographer works under the direction of the Communications Manager to produce video content of the highest level of quality and effectiveness. This includes overseeing aspects of planning, producing and execution of ministry specific video projects as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversees the execution of video projects as assigned from recap videos and other social media content to course curriculum and series trailers
• Coordinates and signs out appropriate gear for video shoots
• Completes the set up and running of video shoots as assigned
• Performs video editing for video projects as assigned
• Provides input with regards to visual media strategy
• Completes pre and post production duties
• Keep up with current videography/editing trends (including general social media video trends)

• Ensures all responsibilities are completed in a purposeful, strategic and focused manner that points people to Jesus.

• The ability to complete many video projects simultaneously to best case scenario deadlines; a high increase in overall quality in order to present the truth of Jesus and the gospel to our world in a compelling way.

• A consistent workflow for all assigned video projects is established to make projects more efficient, on brand, and timely.

• Video projects are completed efficiently, to Village Church standards of excellence and on time
• Pursues relationships with unchurched people - connecting with them, inviting them to events and Sunday services.

• Fulfill the duties required of Village Church members as outlined in the ‘This is Village Church’ course.

• A high degree of technical expertise in videography, editing and online distribution.
• Proven ability to conceptualize a video project and direct it into reality through the use of strong project management skills.
• Proven ability to direct a video shoot and coach others through the process.
