Job Description

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES

The IT Associate is responsible for supporting the IT and computer needs of the staff of Village Church. In collaboration with other department stakeholders, this position contributes to the IT infrastructure of the organization as a whole by ensuring others have the tools needed to reach ministry goals for the accomplishment of the mission. This position performs both technical and administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and efficiency of the computer and network systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains agreed upon Service Level Agreements (response time and service time) for the Corporate help desk.
  • Completes Onboarding and Off-boarding IT tasks as assigned, ensuring proper set-up of workstations, accounts, and access to common resources (printers, etc.)
  • Manage computer inventory, ready to deploy or adapt to the changing needs of the organization.
  • Performs troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve problems and minor repairs for Apple hardware and helps manage AppleCare repairs.
  • Expands the Corporate knowledge base (common issues/procedures/questions from staff) and documentation (policy, procedure, training, etc.)
  • Equips staff to solve basic problems. Provides orientation and guidance to users on how to operate new software and computer equipment.
  • Develops and maintains an understanding of the Cloud/On-premises infrastructure to assist in administration/troubleshooting.
  • Contributes to IT development projects (such as deployment strategies, Media Asset Management, etc.).
  • Ensures that all responsibilities are completed in a purposeful, strategic and focused manner that points people to Jesus.
  • Acts as a servant by inviting, discipling, training and equipping others to serve. Leads through example and commits to thanking at least one volunteer on a weekly basis.
  • Ensures all responsibilities are produced, promoted and lead with a high level of innovation and excellence, honouring God at the highest level.
  • Acts with a sense of ambitious urgency, ensuring all work is completed wisely and impactfully. Time is a gift from God.
