Job Description

This position will be working to drive communications to launch Arnett amp; Burgess forward. Applying a critical eye and keen aptitude for creating compelling storytelling content which furthers the strong brand of a 66-year-old company and creating progressive marketing collateral that highlights where Arnett amp; Burgess is unique.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement communication and marketing strategies which builds and maintains a positive and progressive corporate brand
  • Develop corporate communications and branding in various online and print platforms such as LinkedIn, YouTube, internal sites, corporate news generation
  • Content creation for intranet, internet, social, and events to support communications and marketing efforts
  • Creation of engaging video content
  • Develop and implement department communications strategies designed to further company objectives
  • Develop marketing communication collateral that aligns to Aamp;B’s brand standards
  • Produce marketing copy to advertise our services, write blog posts about industry-related topics and promote our content on social media
  • Edit all marketing material prior to distribution
  • Develop and manage company’s’ social media campaigns, create and manage editorial calendar to help keep the organization top of mind
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and make recommendations for adjustments to communications strategies and practices
  • Maintain relationships with journalists and other members of the press
  • Monitor analytics and create reports detailing the successes and failures of communications campaigns and strategies
  • Understand, engage, and perform in alignment with team players in the organization

Work Conditions

  • This position is based in our downtown Calgary, Alberta Corporate office
  • Monday - Friday, 8 hours per day

Requirements

  • 1-3 years experience in a communications role
  • High level of creativity and the ability to think critically
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage and support teams thought the company
  • Proficient in graphic design and video production capabilities is a must
  • Superior time management and organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Familiar with appropriate applications capable of creating visually compelling presentations
  • Knowledge of social media tools
  • Proven knowledge of communications and marketing ethics and best practices
  • Exceptional writing, verbal, listening and presentation skills
