As the HR Generalist, you will support our HR Operations team in the following areas: HR Governance, Employee Relations, Health and Safety, On-boarding, and Off-boarding. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to make an impact, thrives in a fast-paced, changing environment, and is passionate about Human Resources. They will have a calm maturity and a natural ability to connect with others.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Restaurant Operators on HR-related inquiries, including Health amp; Safety Programs, Injury Management, Employment Standards, and Employee Relations
  • Be the first point of contact for HR Operations teams on Employee Relations matters
  • Avoid legal challenges by understanding current legislation; enforcing regulations with managers; recommending new procedures; and assist in conducting training
  • Responsible for managing employee documentation, files, and company policies
  • Contribute to policy development, writing, and rollout
  • Monitor and tracks compliance with Health and Safety policies and procedures in Canadian stores You are the key liaison between the restaurants and our third-party injury management partner
  • Oversee Injury Management Program and claims management
  • Support with Work Permit and Immigration Inquiries
  • Collaborate with the People and Culture Team on the on-boarding and off-boarding experience.

Requirements

  • 3 years of work experience with a minimum of 2+ year experience working in Human Resources or a related field
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience working in the hospitality industry is considered an asset
  • High level of integrity with the ability to handle employee issues in a professional, confidential manner
  • Problem solving; anticipates and plans for potential roadblocks and is able to think through problems in a logical manner
