Front End Developer - SENIOR

Job Description
Location: Montreal or Quebec city only
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Senior Front-End developer to join the Botpress team. The person we’re seeking is obsessed with details, always keeps the end-user (developers) in mind, and has a deep understanding of web application development. Senior engineers have the ability to jump into a codebase without too much mentorship and can take ownership of a project from inception to production. Autonomy and creativity are super important in our teams, engineers are often left to themselves to solve challenging problems.
Responsibilities
- Own the products and understand the requirements to ensure fast and accurate development of new or better features.
- Work with the core engineering team to develop amp; maintain the Botpress Platform.
- Be the platform expert, knowing all the ins and outs of Botpress as a whole, and guide customers to build great conversational AI experiences.
- Write unit and end-to-end tests for mission-critical features
- Clean up technical dept while keeping a forefront view
- Get in touch with the community and come up with new ideas to make the Botpress Studio and our other products a success
- Build tools, write sample code, and contribute to product development to resolve user issues
- Contribute to product documentation
Requirements
- A minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in software development or programming in a similar environment, including Typescript, React.js, Node, PostgreSQL, Redis
- A minimum of 5+ years of Front end programming experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (French is an advantage)
- A deep interest in Conversational AI, voice- and chat-based user experiences
- Well-organized, excellent work ethic, pays attention to detail, and self-starting
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup and passionate about improving technical abilities
