Job Description
Valard Construction is Canada’s premier utility contractor, as well as head of the Valard Group of Companies and part of the Quanta Group, the largest electrical power contractor in North America. Valard has full-service capabilities for transmission, distribution, substations, foundations, telecommunications, and renewable energy.
We are currently looking for qualified Utility Workers in the Hanover, ON Region.
Requirements
-Temporary workers needed until Dec 2022, potential to extend longer based on project requirements.
- Positions available: multiple.
-must have a valid full G class drivers license or higher, with clean drivers abstract. Preference given to DZ.
-must have clean criminal record.
-must be willing to work extended shifts, weekends.
-will have to travel and stay in hotels throughout the southern and central Ontario regions.
-a basic knowledge of live line tools and limits of approach would be an asset.
-must have an understanding of basic technology devices and application use.
-experience with distribution/data collection would be an asset.
-understanding of Book 7 traffic control would be an asset.
-start date is ASAP, contract would last till Dec 2022.
-utility worker wage package as per CUSW.
-preference given to applicants near Hanover, ON however will consider west of Peterborough and south of North Bay.
