Position

Our People amp; Culture team is looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to drive our talent and recruiting initiatives. Reporting to the Director, People amp; Culture, you will be a key advisor to the talent function, partnering with Hiring Managers to attract and retain key talent. This role is ideal for a dynamic people centric individual who can take ownership and initiative while continually managing competing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full-cycle recruitment and candidate experience processes, including identifying sourcing strategies, screening, interviewing, references, background checks and closing;
  • Partner with hiring managers across March Networks’ regions to define position requirements and ideal fit within the teams;
  • Implement effective techniques for identifying new talent including direct sourcing, social media, referrals and networking;
  • Build candidate networks and pipelines for proactive recruitment;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with agency recruiters, employment centres and associations;
  • Track and report key metrics designed to measure recruitment activity;
  • Ensure recruitment practices are streamlined and in compliance with best practices;
  • Collaborate with other team members to deliver an exceptional onboarding experience;
  • Support cross-functional HR projects to develop skills in all areas of HR.

Requirements

  • Proven success in strategic recruitment and a clear understanding of the end-to-end recruitment process;
  • Experience working with online sourcing tools including LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed or other Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Ability to recruit in all levels of the organization from entry level to senior positions;
  • Proactive approach with a strong sense of urgency;
  • Proven ability to take initiative and build strong, productive relationships;
  • Bring innovative ideas to the team to ensure that we continue to bring creative, best in class practices to Talent Acquisition;
  • People centric; focus on providing a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment and onboarding process.

Qualifications

  • A university degree / college diploma in Human Resources, Business or a related field;
  • Minimum of two (2) years of recruiting experience
  • Experience working collaboratively in a team
  • Highly organized and able to manage competing demands
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Recognized HR designation considered an asset
  • Experience in tech recruitment considered an asset
