Software Developer / Halifax
In the REDspace Software Developer role, you will become part of a team that supports our clients’ family of websites and applications. You will work on the sites daily production tasks as well as maintain and create new site features using your HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills to convert designs and specifications into interactive data-driven sites through front-end and server-side technologies.
- Participate in the development process for medium and large websites from inception to deployment.
- Implement cross-browser page layouts and designs using modern HTML, CSS and JavaScript techniques and best practices.
- Optimize client site delivery and performance.
- Troubleshoot and debug both live and pages under development.
- Analyze assigned tasks, provide work estimates, and manage own time to keep development on schedule.

- Ability to examine existing site code and reuse or extend as required
- An understanding of web architecture amp; web coding standards
- Knowledge of both front and back-end web technologies (JavaScript, Node, GO)
- Familiarity with open source CMS (Drupal, Wordpress)
- Understanding of Object Oriented Programming
- HTML5, CSS3
- Modern JavaScript Frameworks (React, Angular), JavaScript Libraries
- Project build tools (Webpack, Gulp, Grunt)
- Familiarity and interest in cloud-based web architectures (AWS, Azure)
- Interest in hybrid applications (Cordova, Electron)
- Interest in building and scaling web-based APIs
Mobile Developer (Android/iOS) / Halifax
In the REDspace Mobile Developer role, you become part of one of our dynamic mobile teams, specializing in either Android or iOS and working on cutting edge apps, games and libraries for a wide variety of high profile clients.
- Architect, develop and test robust, maintainable and standards-compliant mobile applications and libraries for the Android and iOS Platform
- Define, track and complete assigned tasks, provide and maintain accurate work estimates, and self-manage to keep development on schedule
- Participate in a development team using agile methodologies, including team-based design and code reviews.

Understanding of the following:
- Java, Kotlin
- The Android API (SDK)
- Objective-C, Swift, C/C++ and experience with iOS App or Framework development
- Object-Oriented programming experience
- How to structure code: SOLID principles, DRY, design patterns.
- Some advanced programming concepts: metaprogramming; threaded programming; plugin architecture; Test Driven Development
- Cross-platform development environments such as ReactNative or Xamarin
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
