What you’ll be doing.
- Translate ideas and goals into user journey maps, high level concepts, and visual designs
- Visualize concepts quickly and cleanly and communicate design rationale to stakeholders with confidence
- Create user flows, wireframes, and information architectures to address user needs
- Work collaboratively with team members to balance business objectives with end-user and client goals and desires
- Collaborate with developers to ensure solutions are technically feasible and handoffs are consistent
- Work collaboratively with UX team members and clients to conduct usability testing sessions and other UX research
- Ensure product designs will meet accessibility standards

Requirements
A qualified candidate will have:
- 5+ years in the industry working on the full life cycle of complex web/mobile applications
- A demonstrable portfolio of data-informed digital design projects
- Experience leading UX research and discovery workshops, and gathering and evaluating user requirements
- Experience working with stakeholders in developing value proposition canvas, customer mapping, and identifying user journeys
- Expertise in illustrating design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot UX and CX issues
- Ability to strictly adhere to style guide standards
- Extensive experience developing design systems for interactive interfaces
- Ability to action on layout adjustments based on user and client feedback
- Experience developing UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites will appear and function
- Apply a centred design methodology approach and best practices to ensure that client needs and business goals are met and on-brand
Bonus:
- Ability to create original graphic designs (ie: images, sketches and tables)
Preferred:
- Post-secondary education in Design, Visual Arts, or Business
Nice to have:
- Experience with coding HTML, CSS or similar
