Project Manager, SmartLife Technology Programs

Full-Time Contract (2-years), Toronto, ON

CNIB invites you to build a career as unique as you! We are currently searching for a Project Manager, SmartLife Technology Programs! Reporting to the President, CNIB SmartLife and Open Innovation, the Project Manager, SmartLife Technology Programs, will play a key role in changing the lives of Canadians who are blind, partially sighted, or deafblind, through a critical support role to a core team dedicated to the development and implementation of virtual digital curriculum, programming and 1:1 training.

This role will manage the overall administration and scheduling details for SmartLife staff training and development including maintaining the training and development calendar, supporting development and maintenance of Brightspace courses and communication to staff and managers.

Your impact at CNIB
  • In collaboration with the centralized service quality team, and the program service delivery team, ensure appropriate entry and capture of data, and represent that data as required internally, and in all quarterly and annual reporting cycles for the Connecting With Technology program.
  • Support consistent team tracking and reporting to enable quantitative and qualitative deliverables and reporting criteria.
  • Support marketing strategies that engage and inform clients and attract new participants and volunteers.
  • Support community engagement through regional learning workshops conducted by SmartLife Coaches, Technology Leads, Apprentices, Come to Work talent pool participants and volunteers.
  • Support the recruitment, onboarding, training, development, and supervision of Connecting with Technology associated Intern position.
  • Support the development and presentation of staff and volunteer educational/training content via CNIB Brightspace, virtual, and in-person delivery.
  • Provide support to SmartLife administration and operation.

  • Professional attitude, results oriented, strategic, and flexible.
  • Demonstrates mature and sensitive nature when dealing with the needs of persons living with vision loss.
We want to hear from you if you have:
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field and relevant experience.
  • Experience in ensuring appropriate processes for data gathering and compilation for complex quantitative and qualitative reports.
  • Strong experience in project management, stakeholder relations, cross-sector collaboration, and project communications.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead or support projects, coordinate, and manage people respectfully, and use of methods that create accessibility and inclusion.
  • Experience in recruitment, onboarding, training and supervision of staff, students and/or volunteers.
  • Personal and/or professional experience relating to blindness and vision loss and associated assistive technologies.
  • At minimum, a working knowledge of Salesforce CRM database.
  • Personal or professional experience relating to blindness and sight loss is considered an asset.
  • Personal or professional experience working with assistive technology and/or accessible environments is considered an asset.
Work Environment
  • This position will have a primary base at one of our CNIB SmartLife Centers but is also inclusive of remote work opportunity.
  • Able to lead and work independently and as part of a team.
  • Periodic travel requirements to meet operational objectives and team initiatives.
