Business Development Representative (Automotive Industry) Optimy.ai

Optimy is growing and we are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Representative to promote our Sales focused e-commerce platform within the automotive industry. The successful candidate will get to work closely with successful technology entrepreneurs while identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and contributing to the growth of our digital solutions. Our eCommerce division, Optimy.ai offers businesses a video chat tool, Optimy, that is the first eCommerce plug-in that allows for a live video chat conversation within the customer's web browser that is 100% private amp; secure. The video chat function lets businesses interact with customers and sell products online, just like they would in-store, increasing conversion rates from site visits to sales revenue.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage in lead researching, prospecting and lead the initial interaction with Optimy’s ideal customer profile (ICP) and buyer personas (BP) to create awareness of the Optimy platform.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the automotive sector of the assigned region, emphasizing e-commerce platforms for dealerships, manufacturers, and service providers.
  • Develop and nurture ICPs and BPs to book initial meetings and expand the client base for the sales team.
  • Qualify inbound leads and identify the needs and challenges of the prospective customer.
  • Track, measure and manage a lead pipeline in Hubspot.
  • Educate the prospective customer on best practices for live engagement with website visitors.
  • Provide feedback on weekly interactions with the ICP and identify opportunities for improvement. 
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and potential growth areas in the e-commerce segment.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years' experience in sales preferably with 1 year of sales experience within the Automotive industry.
  • Auto tech. experience considered an asset.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with ability to prioritize time while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Passionate about sales, software, mobile and technology.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • A track record of achievements or competition.
